Autumn 2026 is when Season 2 of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners hits Netflix, and we’ve now got our first look at the new crew.
What We Know About the New Crew
Although Cyberpunk 2077 wasn’t yet considered one of the best open-world games back in September 2022, the sci-fi anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners already arrived on Netflix back then and expanded the series universe with a gripping story.
The animated series thrilled both fans and critics, who immediately made room in their hearts for the characters. A first teaser for the sequel dropped in July 2025. Now finally we have an official release window and a poster of the new crew.
The Four New Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 Main Characters
Roman Carax: A young cinephile looking to document real stories and the truth in a world that has traded cinema for braindances.
Talia Yang: Raised in elite corporate towers but hardened by the violent Maelstrom gang, she is intensely independent and obsessed with cyberware.
D: A skilled Netrunner whose clan was wiped out. He is driven by a dark desire for revenge to hunt down those responsible.
Weak Kingsley: Formerly an elite, top-tier veteran mercenary known as “King.” He is older now, struggling to live up to his past reputation.
The blonde figure in the front is likely Roman, who’s searching for new stories in Night City with his video camera. The person to his right is Talia, on the left sits D, and hovering above everyone’s heads is Weak.
When Does Season 2 Arrive?
Season 2 of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will be released in autumn 2026 on Netflix. There’s no exact date yet, but we can likely expect the release in September, October or November.

Warning! Spoilers for Season 1 follow. Anyone who’s already spent time in Night City knows all too well how high the death rate is in this city. The last crew around David Martinez and Lucy had to learn this the hard way.
The first season ended tragically as David died after a dramatic showdown against Adam Smasher, while Lucy left Night City. It remains to be seen whether the second season picks up on this sad reality or tells an entirely new story.
What Can We Expect From the New Season?
With a new crew against the backdrop of Night City’s brutal lifestyle, the series can continue to evolve while maintaining the legendary atmosphere of the original. Fans are hoping for insights into the underworld, exciting gigs and connections to the video game.
The fact that Roman carries a video camera suggests we might experience Night City through the perspective of a storyteller for someone recording the tales of edgerunners for posterity.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners proved that an anime adaptation of a video game world can not only work but become legendary in its own right. With a release window in autumn 2026 and a brand new crew, fans of the series have plenty to look forward to before the next season lands on Netflix.
I personally doubt there will be anyone as interesting as lucy but we will see
